Fan-art Friday!

Straying from my usual 'Once Upon a Time' or Bronte inspired fan-art pieces; I wanted to take this opportunity to draw attention to my favourite series of books by 'Helen Dunmore.'

With a lifelong a fascination of all things 'mer,' Dunmore's teen fiction novels were a huge part of my life growing up. The nail-biting months between additions were greatly felt and since the final book was released I have continued to re-read them at least once a year.

I would strongly recommend you purchase a copy of 'INGO.' These books are the perfect mix of fantasy and reality and before you know it you will think you are 'away in Ingo' too.

Patrick's Pirate Adventure

Extracts from my Children's Book; in which six year old Patrick goes on the the adventure of a lifetime. After finding himself named Cabin Boy by the brave Captain Ruby, Patrick finds himself on a mission to save Ruby's treasure from the evil Buccaneer Captain Mack. Join Patrick as he faces mischievous mermaids and the jaws of the dreaded Kraken!

Patrick joins Captain Ruby, Peg-Legged Jim and their friends as they go to a secret cave to retrieve the treasure!

Brave Patrick battles the Kraken with Captain Ruby's Sword!

Patrick is saved from the sea by a mysterious lady who looks just like the Captain.

Out With the Old

I have always been captivated by the story of 'Beauty and the Beast' and it features heavily in my artwork. When people ask me why I draw it so often I always say it's 'because I haven't got it right yet!' As I improve I like to re-draw my old Illustration's and give them a new lease of life. Today is one of those days...and I am confident that as long as I keep putting pen to paper; I'm one step closer to getting it right.
